Development Manager

Courtnee was born in Vancouver and proudly embraces her identity as a Thompson Salish First Nation woman from the Nlaka’pamux Nation and is a member of the Lower Nicola Band.

Courtnee joined the LDM team in 2021 as a Development Manager and offers professional services and assistance to Indigenous groups involved in the creation of affordable housing projects and other interconnected socio-economic initiatives throughout the province. Within her role, Courtnee assumes comprehensive responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the development, leading, and coordinating the development team to ensure that projects are completed successfully and closely align to budgetary constraints, project timelines, and in accordance with client objectives, all while making sure the contractual framework among development partners reflects the established business plan.

Demonstrating a diligent and outcome-oriented work ethic, Courtnee brings forth 10 plus years of experience spanning multiple commercial sectors, specializing in commercial real estate appraisal, as well as the analysis and assessment of residential property valuations. Before LDM, Courtnee served the appraisal industry conducting comprehensive market research and preparing appraisal reports for a wide range of commercial real estate sectors. This involved in-depth detailed analyses of vacant land parcels, future development properties, and commercial assets within various municipalities throughout BC, with focus in expropriation-related matters requiring significant due diligence, allowing her to develop a deep understanding in a variety of complex forms of land ownership and usage policies. This journey, coupled with a comprehensive grasp of ethical business values, has empowered her to deftly foster and uphold exceptional client relationships.

In May of 2023, Courtnee was appointed by the Cabinet of the Provincial government as a member of the Property Assessment Appeal Board of British Columbia. Simultaneously, she was selected as a highlighted speaker/participant for the 2023 BC Expropriation Association Conference. Moreover, Courtnee exhibits a strong dedication to furthering Indigenous economic advancement and pioneering culturally suitable procurement approaches within the real estate sector. Her academic foundation encompasses a Diploma of Business Administration, the successful fulfillment of the Mortgage Brokerage in B.C. Course and completed a series of University of British Columbia (Real Estate Division) courses as part of the Appraisal Institute of Canada - AIC Designation Program.
